Description
Our single-story barn conversion with lofty high ceilings and original beams throughout has a light and airy feel. Facilities are modern and tasteful, furnished with pine, creating a simple country style. French windows throughout, over-bath power showers with giant shower heads, and gas heating. Huge trampoline in the barn plus a table tennis table – great for the children! There is a fantastic adventure playground, for tots to teens, just a short walk away.
Situated adjacent to fields with views to the paddock and stunning Cotswold countryside, guests are welcome to enjoy the eleven acres of the farm.
Village shops and local pubs, renowned for excellent food, are just a moment or two away. The village has a request train stop, or for more frequent trains, Charlbury is only 5 miles. We are 30 minutes from Oxford and Cheltenham and near the historic Towns of Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water, Chipping Norton and Moreton in Marsh. There is a magnificent arboretum, the Market town of Burford, with many shops and cafes, and wonderful countryside to walk in.
Well-equipped Farmhouse Kitchen - Double doors to private patio garden, and front door to the courtyard. with Dining table seats 8. Sofa bed and TV.
Living room - Large, light, double aspect room with three sets of patio doors and window to field. Three sofas, two of which are sofa beds, TV and Hi Fi also WiFi, which is limited to the kitchen area
Bedroom 1 - Twin beds or king-size double. Sunny room facing private patio garden.
Bedroom 2 - Twin beds or king-size double. Patio doors to courtyard. (Please note you pass through this bedroom to access second bathroom and living room. Alternatively you have access to the courtyard and so do not have to go through this room.) Bedroom 3 - Double bed and patio doors. Bathrooms - Both have large baths with power showers above, heated wall-rack towel rails. Patio garden - South facing and secluded. Second patio with garden furniture and private barbecue.
SHORT BREAKS AVAILABLE. Priced for 6 people, with a £40 per head charge over that number per weekend/week, up to a maximum of 8. - 7 night bookings only for Easter and Christmas/New Year. All properties are strictly non-smoking

Our holiday cottages in Oxfordshire are ideally placed to explore not only the Oxfordshire countryside but also the many great buildings, museums and cultural amenities the county is blessed with.
Without a doubt, the ancient university town of Oxford is the highlight. Here, in the city of dreaming spires, you can explore the colleges and marvel at the breathtaking architecture, so familiar from TV’s Morse. The Ashmolean Museum here is a veritable treasure chest of works of art. And then there’s Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, ancestral home of the Churchill family. This amazing baroque masterpiece puts most other country houses in the shade, and features some magnificent décor, as well as wonderful gardens.
Other interesting places for a day out from one of our holiday cottages in Oxfordshire include the charming town of Burford, with its fine houses in glorious Cotswold stone, as well as Woodstock and Chipping Norton, also in the Cotswolds. Fans of William Morris should go to Kelmscott, the village where he and his followers established the arts and crafts movement. The picturesque village of Great Tew is also within easy reach.
